Spend 24 hours immersed in health and wellness practices at an overnight Yoga Retreat with expert instructors, healers and gourmet meals. Staying overnight in the five start InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort will complete your moment to relax and reconnect.
Taking place on Friday, 4th June to Saturday, 5th June, this intimate retreat will hold sunset and sunrise yoga practices, sound healing session, health talk from a local Gold Coast nutritionist, chef prepared meals and free time to make the most of your wellness experience.
Participants will bring in the weekend with a sunset yoga vinyasa class overlooking the stunning Lagoon Pool. Hosted by the Sanctuary Cove Country Club’s resident yoga instructor Linda Trickey, it will get your body warm and stretched for the upcoming weekend. Linda is a Level 1 Yoga Instructor with over two decades of delivering a dynamic, thoughtful yoga experience.
Take some time to unwind before you settling into a two course menu at The Fireplace Restaurant complimented with a glass of wine. Spend time getting to know the other retreat goers as you indulge in wood-fired cuisine in the InterContinental Resort’s signature restaurant. As the night concludes guests will immerse in the tranquility of a Garden View Room in the recently refreshed guest room. Discover deluxe bedding, white marble benchtops, luxurious chaise lounges, ambient lighting and most importantly a deep bath tub to soak late into the night.
The following day a sunrise yoga class will take place to start your day with mindfulness, Linda will take participants through a a morning vinyasa stretch that will reconnect the mindy and body. Set on the Marina Lawn overlooking the yachts dotted on the Sanctuary Cove Marina.
From here guests will enjoy the Chef’s Gourmet Breakfast with a selection of healthy, nutritious dishes prepared by InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort Head Chef Matt Hart on the Outer Terrace of the Cove Cafe.
Caroline Scott will then host a nutritional health talk. Caroline has over 15 years experience in the industry, disrupting traditional health messages and educating her clients on how to prevent and reverse disease through the power of wholefoods. You will leave this session with a renewed outlook on your lifestyle and diet, and we guarantee a few wellness myths will be debunked!
Next, Lauren Siafas from Boho Yoga Journeys will take participants through a one hour deep sound healing session, unblocking energy and vibrating the body into a state of wellbeing and harmony. Lauren uses crystal bowls, gongs and other instruments sourced from around the world to create layers of tones and overtones that vibrate every cell of the body; relaxing muscles, releasing emotions and bringing participants into a deep state of relaxation. If you have unwanted or old, stagnant energy you wish to clear, this session is perfect for you!
Following the sound healing session, participants are welcome to finish off the day at the Verandah Bar with a glass of sparkling wine, overlooking the stunning tropical surrounds of the resort.
